Losing 20 pounds

If you’re looking to make nutritional changes, setting a goal is step one. That’s the easy part. You choose if you want to gain muscle, lose body fat, or some combination of the two.

We find it especially helpful if you add another step. Once you’ve established your desired outcome, take a moment to do a little reflecting to understand just where you are along this process.

Here are four of our go-to questions. Each question is based on a scale of 1-10:

1️⃣ How much do I believe I can achieve this goal?

2️⃣ How much do I fully understand what actions must be taken to achieve this goal?

3️⃣ How willing am I to do what’s necessary to achieve this goal?

4️⃣ How motivated am I to achieve this goal?

The answers (numbers) to these questions will help you identify where you are. If there are any discrepancies between the numbers for each question, you’ll be able to understand and address what’s going to be holding you back. It will also help to manage expectations of the desired results.

Do the number to your answers align? If not, you’re likely going to have to adjust your mindset, adjust your behaviours, or adjust your goals. 🧐
