Take A Day To Unplug

Can you turn your phone off for a whole day?

We initially receive a whole lot of resistance from people when we tell them to turn their phones off. Though once they commit, those same people come back and tell us how that phone-free time was actually very liberating.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
- Ferris Bueller

The reality is that an unhealthy attachment to technology can become an addiction that many of us are faced with. Becoming aware of our habits and setting boundaries can be especially beneficial for our health and well-being.

There’s no doubt that the technology we have today is freaking awesome. It brings a level of convenience to our lives that can actually improve our happiness and well-being.

We do however, have the power to develop a healthy relationship with this technology. Along with daily exercise and healthy eating habits, we always encourage everyone to take a day to disconnect from technology as a means to improve your health.

Taking time or a full day to unplug:

  • Helps you recharge (opposite of your phone hehe)

  • Improves sleep quality

  • Can improve your relationships

  • Decreases FOMO (fear of missing out)

  • Helps you reconnect to yourself

  • Allows you to be present in the moment

  • Minimizes daily distractions

  • Can increase feeling of gratitude & appreciation

  • Is beneficial for your mental health.

Always remember, motion is lotion. We encourage you to Move Well, Live Well™.

If you’re interested in moving, feeling and/or performing better, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d be happy to help.
