Sport Psychology Workshops

Take your team to the next level by training the mindset.

Competing in sports is simultaneously 100% physical and 100% mental. How much time does your team dedicate to working on mental skills for performance?

Many coaches and athletes are beginning to understand the benefits psychological skills training, yet the majority of clubs and organizations are neglecting to focus on the mental side of sports. It’s time we start to address the most under-utilized part of athletic achievement: mindset.

What our workshops entail:

Our 1-hour workshops are designed to serve as an additional “practice” that is dedicated to the cultivation and development of psychological skills. Prior to coming in, we can collaborate with the team’s coach in order to customize the workshop to best fit the team’s needs.

Applied sport psychology is the missing link to team performance.

Each session is customized to the unique goals of the team. Some of the areas of focus are listed below:

Individual Topics within a Team

  • Intro to mental skills training

  • Goal setting

  • Imagery

  • Visualization

  • Performing under pressure

  • Stress management

  • Resilience & perseverance

  • Mindfulness

  • Confidence

  • Motivation

  • Commitment

  • Focus

  • Returning from injury

Team Topics

  • Improving team cohesion

  • How to properly get “fired up” for a game

  • Team building

  • Team goal setting

  • Group roles

During the workshop, we take the team through a variety of team building exercises and introduce various psychological skills (self-talk, imagery, goal-setting, etc). Sessions are designed to be a fun alternative to a regular practice, while simultaneously being informative and constructive in the development of psychological skills. Athletes should leave a workshop feeling good about themselves, their teammates, and be ready to immediately apply the skills they have just learned.

Intended benefits:

  • Improved team performance

  • Team cohesion

  • Improved relationships with teammates

  • More enjoyment with training & competition

  • Perseverance & learning from failure

  • Improved collective attitude

  • Higher rates of achievement

  • Decreased risk of drop out (attrition)
